A vision board is a powerful tool for children for several reasons:

  • Visualization: A vision board helps individuals concretely visualize their goals and dreams, making them feel more natural and attainable. Seeing the goals daily can keep them at the forefront of one's mind.
  • Motivation: Regularly seeing images and words representing your goals can be highly motivating, constantly reminding you of what you're working towards.
  • Focus: A vision board physically represents your goals, helping to maintain focus by limiting distractions and redirecting your energy towards what truly matters.
  • Emotional Connection: Crafting a vision board that resonates emotionally can deepen your commitment to achieving your goals and connect you to their significance and joy.
  • Clarity: Creating a vision board encourages you to clarify what you want, forcing you to distill your desires and intentions into specific images and phrases.
  • Creativity and Fun: Making a vision board is a creative and enjoyable activity that can make the goal-setting process more engaging and less daunting.
  • Positive Affirmation: The positive imagery and words on a vision board can reinforce a positive mindset, fostering a belief in one’s ability to achieve their dreams.

A vision board can help maintain focus, boost motivation, clarify goals, and foster a positive emotional connection to the desired outcomes, making it an effective tool for achieving personal and professional goals. Therefore, we teach children this as part of financial literacy.
