At Kia Mena Montessori Pre-School, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional early years education that nurtures each child’s unique potential. Established in 1994, our privately run pre-school caters to children aged 2 to 5 years and is nestled within the charming and historic setting of the Beckenham Sports Club’s old cricket pavilion. Our thoughtfully refurbished facilities include a covered outdoor play area for all-weather use and a secure grassy space, providing plenty of room for exploration and play.
As a proud Montessori nursery, we follow the inspiring principles of Dr Maria Montessori, who believed that children thrive when allowed to grow naturally in physical, intellectual, and social aspects. By carefully presenting the right activities at the appropriate developmental stages, our dedicated team helps unlock every child’s potential in an environment that fosters independence and creativity.
To enhance our educational approach, we utilise My Montessori Child, the software of choice for leading Montessori schools across the UK and beyond. Endorsed by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), this comprehensive nursery management system supports our teachers in faithfully practising the Montessori Method while meeting all statutory reporting requirements, including those of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
My Montessori Child also enables us to share information with parents in a constructive and sensitive way, helping you understand and appreciate your child’s developmental progress while preserving their emerging sense of independence.Parents have an individual secure log in and are able to have direct contact with their child’s teacher.
